Friday's Letters.
Dear Little Sister. Today is your graduation from Northwestern University, and I couldn't be more proud of you. Your accomplishments, your accolades, and your tireless dedication to your academic craft are true inspirations to me, your friends, and your family. I've watched you over the last few years find your niche, your passion, and your talent, and I stand in awe. Your are amazing. Dear Northwestern. You have given my little sister the best possible undergraduate experience one could ever hope for. I know she will miss you dearly. Dear Harvard. You are lucky to have my little sister for graduate school. She is one of those people who will take her education and go on to achieve true greatness. Dear Fate. How is it that we will miss each other in Boston by three months? Just as I move away, my little sister moves in. Timing is a curious thing some times. Dear Chicago. It is a treat to be back here. You will always be one of my favorite cities. Dear Graduation. I will never tire of your pomp and circumstance. Especially today.
I am one, very proud big sister.

Bath Time.
When it comes to owning a dog, I never feel like taking care of him is work. I always look forward to all pet related chores because they always seem fun to me. I suppose this is why I love dogs so much. If Bentley felt like work, I don't think he would be as fun. Lucky for us both, I love spending time with him no matter what! One of mine {and his} favorite chores is bath time. Although he isn't too keen on swimming, though he will if his friends coax him into the ocean, he seems to cherish his bath time. He never puts up a fight, sits there like a pro, and then snuggles with me in his towel to dry off. He even likes being blown out with the hair dryer.
Jazz Review.
This week, I am in Chicago to celebrate the graduation of la petite soeur from Northwestern University. Chicago is one of my favorite cities in the country, and I love any excuse to visit here...particularly one as exciting as seeing my sister graduate. Last evening, upon my sister's recommendation, my family and I went to one of her favorite local jazz bars, Katerina's. The atmosphere was as if the bar had been in operation since the 20s, the singers and musicians were wonderfully talented and friendly, and the food was a delectable accompaniment to an evening of live music. At one point, in a moment of whimsical spontaneity, an elderly couple got up from their table started dancing to the music. All in all, it was a perfect evening and a lovely way to spend my first night in Chicago.

Wear the Room.
When I saw this room, I fell instantly in love. The black and white is bold yet classic and the room has a timeless, feminine feel. I will be redecorating my bedroom in a few months and have been searching for inspiration. I think this room captures the sentiment I want for my bedroom. I also thought it was a perfect for an outfit! I found this jumpsuit and think it is the perfect summer staple. I dressed it up with these accessories, but I think it could just as easily be dressed down. Plus, it is less than $100, which makes it a great bargain!6.10.2012
Bluewater Lunch.
One of my favorite things to do on sunny days is go to lunch with friends and eat outside. Lunch is even better when the restaurant is on the water and is accompanied by a lovely view. Last week, I was lucky enough to have such a lunch with swordfish tacos, lemonade, and ocean views. Add a red floral sun dress, 72 degree weather, a light breeze, and good company, and you have the makings for a perfect day.
